Playrite, Kobe Kogyo - a photo on Flickriver

            Most often spotted under the Kobe Kogyo name, this radio can also be found with "Play-rite" on the front, as this one is. Kobe Kogyo is still clearly marked on the back and an on the inside label. 

A wonderful, solid shirtpocket set. The entire speaker grill is painted light brown (with a slight purple hue to it). The sides of the cabinet are covered with a thick band of gold-plated metal. 
The slide rule tuning dial is placed on the top of the radio as is the large, telescoping antenna, which has a rather large "top hat". 
I do find the location of the tuning and volume dials to be a bit odd.
