Hurricane Hill Trail - a photo on Flickriver

            We were at the insanely popular Hurricane Hill Trailhead early in the morning about 7:30 with only two other cars in the parking lot. The trail is quite wide at the start with a lot of work being done to stabilize it. It was in good shape with only a short shady section still covered with hard packed somewhat icy snow. We hiked to the top in an hour or so and spent a very enjoyable couple of hours relaxing in the sun and taking in the awesome scenery- the Straight of Juan De Fuca to the north and the Bailey Range to the south. On our hike back down we passed several dozen people heading up, starting early was a great idea!
