Adam D. let me borrow his EF-S 10-22mm at Brews & Views. One of the problems with shooting on a cropped sensor DSLR is that wide angles don't really open up that wide. The EF-S 10-22 is designed to cover the same field of view as a 16-35mm wide angle zoom on full frame 35mm.

What a *sweet* lens. You can stand in the corner and get the entire room in. Although it's a rectilinear lens, there are some pretty cool distortions when you get up close.

To "prank" people with this lens I shamelessly copied Poo's modus operandi of sneaking up on a victim and then waiting for them to be aware the camera is there (or to stop ignoring me). Then as they turn, click goes the camera. :-)

To give you an idea of how wide 10mm is - for a lot of these shots the camera is within 6" of the subject's face.
