I promised Marie I'd take a picture of her office after she cleans it up. So it makes sense to practice on mine. I'm of the opinion that indoor architecture is best when shot in HDR: somehow the plastic look generated by most tools doesn’t look as bad indoors.

I guestimated the position of the panoclamp. It's been a few years, but I think I guessed close. :-) It's been so long since I've shot panoramics, that I had a lot of outtakes before I got the settings correct (manual focus, manual exposure). The images were taken 30 degrees apart to create enough overlap, but I should used more overlap—the small breaks in the paorama at 100% are due to insufficient overlap. I originally intended to do only a 180° panorama, but then figured "what the hell" and didd the full 360*. Because of this you can see my messy photocloset and the goodwill/gift/storage/repair stuff I put out in the hallway.

Because my nik tools are not appearing in Photoshop CS5, I used HDR Efex Pro in Aperture. This meant that instead of using HDR library built-in to PTGui, I made three separate panoramas using 16-bit tiffs generated from the -3ev, 0ev, and +3ev images. The HDR starting default was "bright room" beecause the other settings looked too bleached.
