I've owned a number of film bodies over the years. I used to have a Canon Rebel G and I still have a Rebel K2. Both came with rather crap kit lenses. I recently blew the metaphorical and actual dust off them see how they'd do with my 5D Mark IV. I started with the EF 28-90mm F/4-5.6 III, which is a solid meh/10. It has impressive barrel distortion throughout its zoom range (I'm not one to normally complain about distortion, either.) Its color transmission is remarkably poor at best. Sharpness isn't great wide open, but I can stop down to solve most of that problem.

For this shot, I first ran it through Luminar 4 where I made a bunch of tweaks and then did a cleanup in Photoshop. The end result is ..fine, but I will be going back to my standard carry 50mm F/1.8 once this little experiment is done.
