Tornado Spawned by Hurricane Isaac Remnants at Ash Hill, MO

At 4:33 this tornado touched down about 2 miles west of Fisk, MO while I was at my grandpa's place a few years ago.

Dad and I called lowered rotating wall cloud into the National Weather Service at 4:32, the funnel was developing before the call was finished. The Paducah Forecast Office issued a tornado warning within minutes for Northeastern Butler and Central Stoddard County, Missouri until 5:00 P.M.

This picture was taken at 4:36 when it was probably at its most mature stage, and after being on the ground for probably a mile or so at the time.

This was one of the 15 reported tornadoes today, all caused by the remnants of Hurricane Isaac. It stayed on the ground for 7 minutes, and what I would estimate to be 2 miles.

My vantage point here was my grandpa's patio. All those years chasing storms with my dad trying to get a shot like this in the Bootheel, and I got one from the patio.

This tornado was rated by the National Weather Service Paducah Office as an EF0 on September 2, 2012, and is still one of the more photogenic little vortexes that I've ever seen.
