Catedral de Zamora

            La Catedral de Zamora fue construida en las décadas centrales del siglo XII y patrocinada por el rey Alfonso VII el Emperador y su hermana Doña Sancha. 
Originalmente, era una gran construcción de tres naves, crucero y sendos ábsides. De las torres previstas, sólo se llegó a levantar la septentrional, a los pies del templo, de porte robusto y ciertamente poco esbelta. La cabecera se sustituyó en el siglo XV por otra gótica y el claustro se reemplazó en los siglos XVI y XVII.
