The large Caproni Ca.4 triplane shown for size with the way smaller Ansaldo S.V.A 5 single-seat fighter [Italy, 1917]

            A view of the enormous Caproni Ca.4 triplane photographed here for good measure with the much smaller Ansaldo S.V.A 5 single-seat fighter. The wing span of the Caproni Ca.4 is an impressive 29,90 meter (1) with a height of 6,30 meter. The nacelle was at a height where the crew had to climb to via a path along one of the struts. A trimotor with two engines in tractor mode and one in pusher mode. The pusher was fitted on the end of the central nacelle. Mark also the large standing radiators set between the wings above the engines.
The Ca.4 seen here is one of the machines used by the RNAS [British - Royal Navy Air Service) ,  this one with serial N526. Photograph was taken after the time when it was used by the English and was returned to the Italians (181a Squadriglia). An all Italian crew is standing around this Ca.4.
This Ca.4 was lost during a take-off on 23 May 1918.
