2022 State of the City

Virginia Beach Mayor Robert M. “Bobby” Dyer and City Manager Patrick Duhaney delivered the annual State of the City address at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The event is the first in a series of five sponsored by the Hampton Roads Chamber.

This year’s presentation was live streamed online at www.VBgov.com/media.

During their remarks, the mayor and city manager highlighted key accomplishments and initiatives taking place throughout the city, provided project updates, recognized several residents and organizations, and provided a look forward for the city. The talk focused on the city’s path to “Recover, Reinvest and Reimagine” the future while navigating the current pandemic.

The presentation included videos featuring business and organization happenings; Capital Improvement Program projects taking place throughout the city and new event announcements.

The State of the City address is scheduled to be rebroadcast on Cox Channel 48 and Verizon Channel 45, beginning Sunday, March 20, and play through Saturday, April 2, as scheduled below:

•Sunday – 6 p.m.
•Monday – 6 a.m.
•Wednesday – 8 a.m.
•Thursday – 3 p.m.
•Friday – 9 p.m.
•Saturday – 10 p.m.
