Lolling wolf

The wolves at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, just outside Yellowstone's west entrance, were bred in captivity (unclear whether that was legal) at a facility that could not accommodate them as they grew.  Fortunately they are now in the excellent care at GWDC where they lead safe lives while serving to educate the public about their kind. All the wolves - and bears for that matter - at GWDC are neutered. 

Note that the center is in the town of West Yellowstone, Montana, and if you stay at a nearby hotel, you're very likely to be able to hear the wolves howl!
