            Poe was my final purchase in Apalachicola. I actually saw him the last time we visited in April. I wanted him, but I'd already bought a plush badger and his price tag was a little steep. So I told myself if he was still there at Grady Market, I'd rescue him. Because who else is going to buy a sock mohawk boy but a crazy goth doll collector? We went in the store and I searched all over for him. I finally saw him in a window display. I picked him up and looked him over, then checked the price tag. Grady Market was only the second store we went to, so I decided to put him down and wait. If there were other things I wanted more, I'd buy them, but if I left the other stores empty-handed, I'd come back for him. We'd stopped in Riverlily first and that turned out to be the majority of my purchases. The only other thing I bought was a cute pen with a fabric lady on it that was handmade in Peru. Mom and I went to lunch and discussed what we might go back for. She chose a pelican windchime and while she was getting that, I went back for Poe. His stock name is Otto, but no. I decided to call him Poe after the Poe's Tobacco perfume I'd bought and because buying him made me pretty po'. Har har. Seriously, if you look up "blabla" on ebay, you'll see the price range. I still can't believe I paid it. But I feel like he was waiting for me.
