Sunset and first E-M1X tests last June

            One of the test images with my old 4/3 40-150mm lens and the new E-M1X last June out at Snowden, Montana.  This is mostly in-camera processing and a noisy image prior to setting up the new Olympus body for shooting .raw files (and adjusting any number of other settings for different shooting scenarios, for that matter).  Even so, I saw the potential of the new body.  It's just been discontinued but even with my limited shooting since last June and after comparing it with the latest in the OM series, I still believe it to be the better body.  I think it's lack of popularity is simply because it IS a larger body with built in grips and dual controls for both the horizontal and vertical axis but those were features I like, even though it has a lot more heft than the smaller bodies.  There is a LOT of versatility and the potential for creativity is now really limited only by my imagination...  Well, long work hours must also be considered, I suppose...  lol

It's a snapshot in my mind but still an appealing composition that I will repeat one evening in the warmer future.  I prefer the .raw files simply because I have greater control over the noise reduction, sharpening, etc. that I have in post-processing.  I did only minor processing with this and didn't even remove the halo at the horizon or top of the train...  It's simply a reminder of warmer times to come!  (6-23-2023)
