E.C.S move from Worksop at Beighton Station & Rails at Beighton Jn. - 6833

Whilst in the are, prudence dictated a walk over to the Midland line to see what was on the move here too.. Although I go on about this frequently, the burgeoning vegetation is once more a big problem on both sides of this line; it now looking more like a green corridor though what will soon be, Woodland. Fortunately the lunchtime rails was running and, thankfully, was about to be this are withing 15 or twenty minutes. It had left a few minutes down from the Scunthorpe area but by the time it had come into this area it was 5 minutes early at 11:41, about 20 minutes after arrival and photographing the work on the old GC line bridge in the background. Passing by south is the very regular lunchtime 'rails' with, fortunately, G.B.R.f., class 66, 66789, 'British Rail 1948-1997' on the 6X01, Scunthorpe Trent T.C. to Eastleigh East Yard, working, the 'X' indicating an out-of-gauge working. The River Rother flows underneath the south-bound rails headed for Eastleigh, 70 minutes early, at 18:20, in around 7 hours, quite a long-days haul of new rail weighing in at 1800 tonnes; a catch in these times of cancelled workings and steel works shutdowns.
