The Valley Flyer - a photo on Flickriver

The Valley Flyer

            Steaming out of a sloworder in the glacial Hermosa Valley, Baldwin built K-36 #480 pulls ten cars north of Home Ranch Siding.  A "dusting" of snow has blanketed the Four Corners which ended up dumping nearly 18 inches in Northern Arizona (which left me stuck on my train trapped by stuck BNSF freights), but Durango probally recieived 6 inches and the roads were cleared, but New Mexico had similar conditions near Cuba where the roads were near impasabable (because NMDOT, of course). 

Anyways...  Train 261, the Cascade Canyon Express departed Durango on time this morning, and pulled over Sixth Street on time as I rolled into town ("I'll be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognise 'College Drive'!").  I headed to 32nd to shoot it there and wildly over exposed since I don't normally use the Z6 for stills (I rented a Zf for video this trip).  So, this stop was the first chance for a proper exposure
