Far and Wide - a photo on Flickriver

Far and Wide

            Red rock wilderness in Canyonlands National Park stretches out from the opening of Gooseberry Canyon towards the Colorado River, Canyon Rims, and the La Sal Mountains. The low afternoon sun illuminates hoodoos with White Rim Sandstone caps above layers of Organ Rock Shale, with Cedar Mesa Sandstone extending out into the sunlit maze of canyons.

This is a two shot panorama taken from my first camp site on the White Rim Road.
