Snow Trillium - a photo on Flickriver

Snow Trillium

            Another of the earliest blooming woodland wildflowers I find around here.  I've only found these in one place so I go back every spring.  It's a treat when I find the tiny flowers popping up through the leaves on the ground.
(I went out a couple of days earlier when there was some snow on the ground hoping to find them living up to their name but no lick.  😥)
