Sierra Black-eyed Susan patch - a photo on Flickriver

            100+ degree temperatures and rainy skys prevail over these desert sunflowers near the Owens river outside of Bishop, CA.

Notes to flickr friends:
My long-time hiking/photo buddy, Chief Bwana, spent 7 days in the E. Sierra, 4 of them in the high Sierra, on one of the most photographically productive trips we've ever done (25+ years). The conditions were excellent for shooting, with lots of dramatic clouds and flowers abounding.  As I'm still a newbie at post-processing, I'll be taking my time releasing these photos to try to ensure the best renderings I'm capable of. I'll cherry-pick what I feel are the best ones but variations on the same subjects abound and tastes differ.

Photo notes: 
My software is failing to save the exif data to the processed output -- I've sent a request for assistance to the maker. So apologies for that.  This was taken at f10, 1/125 sec. I processed this in 2 sections,  the mountains and sky, then the flowers.
