tracks through a field of rapeseed | Aberuthven | Perthshire

            Aside from the autumn months, May is probably the most colourful time of the year in Perthshire. For a few precious weeks, large swathes of the countryside become cloaked in a 
mantle of gold as vast fields of oilseed rape reach a colourful peak; then just as suddenly the ​spectacle of bright-yellow flowers fade to nothing and ​the display is ended for another year. I was fortunate to photograph these 'fields of gold' under blue sky​,​ interspersed by some welcome fair-weather clouds.
