Here's some info about this wonderful blossoming beauty (from their site):

The California fuchsia is a medium-sized perennial which is easy to grow because it tolerates heat and drought. It blooms in both summer and fall -- and is beneficial for hummingbirds and for other much-needed pollinators such as bees and bats. It should be pruned to the ground after flowering in the fall. It can be grown in full sun or in partial shade.
