Manchester Islands on the Ohio River

            Located upriver from Maysville, Kentucky, Island #2 is closest to Ohio to the left, and has 93.6 acres and is a wildlife viewing area.  Island #1 to the right by the boats, is 21.4 acres.  A third island is now a gravel bar due to the rise in the river due to the navigation dams. The Ohio River is part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  The navigation channel is located between the tree filled islands. The single smokestack sticking above island #2 is part of closed Killen Station power plant.
