Poverty in Sardis, Kentucky - a photo on Flickriver

            Rural Robertson County is the smallest  county in Kentucky. It's in the Appalachian Region and the Community of Sardis lies on the eastern county line. Since the 2010 census Sardis dropped from 103 down to 60 in the 2020 census. What's worse is the average household income is $14,886 and per capita is $9881.  It's hard to imagine this being the case in 2024. To see this building prior to restoration look at my post of August, 28, 2021.
