SNCF 467629 + 467494 @ Braine-le-Comte 🇧🇪

Omdat op woensdag 2 mei in de voormiddag nog zowat alles fout liep wat fout kon lopen, deed ik een weekje later een nieuwe poging om op de ballasttrein te jagen!

En deze keer zou ik me alvast niet aan het wegverkeer laten vangen en vertrok ik ruim op tijd naar Braine-le-Comte waar ik dan ook al om 9u15 aankwam. Het was er genieten van de rust en de toch al warme temperaturen!
Een klein kwartiertje later kwam er een Franstalige medespotter - uit Edingen - aangesneld die snel snel de weide in liep (wie zoekt, die vindt)... Hij wist me tijdens het lopen nog net te vertellen dat de trein in Braine-le-Comte vertrokken was - wat ik natuurlijk wel al dacht toen hij zo zat te sprinten.

A week after my first attempt to take pictures of the freight trains to the quarry of Quenast, I was back in Braine-le-Comte because a week earlier, everything that could went wrong in the morning, went wrong, so this time, I hoped for the better!

And yes, this time I had more luck with the train to Quenast. As scheduled, the train ran through the fields of Braine-le-Comte whilst climbing up the hill!
