Het lag eigenlijk in mijn bedoeling om jullie nu de tweede foto van de testritten met de AGC te tonen, maar ik gooi er even dit actuele plaatje tussen.

Gisteren vertrok namelijk de eerste Intersoc-nachttrein (ingelegd door de Christelijke Mutualiteit) vanuit Brussel-Zuid naar het Zwitserse Sierre. Het lege materiaal voor deze trein werd daarvoor vanuit Duitsland naar België gereden en de trein maakte daarbij vanuit Aachen een ritje over de Waalse as tussen Liège en Charleroi. Op die manier stond de trein onmiddellijk juist georiënteerd en moest er in Brussel-Zuid geen kop gemaakt worden.

En door dit ommetje zou de trein niet al te ver van mijn woonplaats 'redelijk' goed voor de zon rijden! Met een kleine vertraging van een dertigtal minuten kon ik de fraaie sleep van 14 rijtuigen dan ook tussen de velden van Familleureux in de ondergaande zon op foto zetten.
Een mooi begin van het nieuwe (werk)jaar, al zeg ik het zelf ;-) :-)

The empty rolling stock for the overnight train from Brussels (Belgium) to Sierre (Switzerland) - inlaid by the Belgian Christian mutual insurance as part of the Intersoc skiing holidays - came yesterday from Germany to Brussels. The train, driven by LINΞΛS, took the route via Liège and Charleroi and this gave me the opportunity to take a picture of this train near my hometown. With a delay of about 30 minutes, the train was seen here in the setting sun in Familleureux.
