SNCF FRET 427007M + 427083 @ Bierne 🇫🇷

Traditioneel houden mijn broer Steven en ikzelf elk jaar een herfstuitstap waarbij er meestal richting Rijnvallei getrokken wordt. Oorspronkelijk was dat dit jaar ook ons plan, zeker omdat we allebei graag nog eens de getrokken EuroCity-treinen van en naar Zwitserland wilden vastleggen.

Alleen beslisten de weergoden er dit jaar anders over waardoor er al snel werd uitgekeken naar alternatieven en er werd geschoven van een (nat) dagje rond Dinant naar een droge zonnige namiddag in Zeebrugge om uiteindelijk uit te komen in Frans Vlaanderen.

En deze bestemming werd echt wel last minute gekozen, na het consulteren van een aantal webcams rond Dunkerque.

En zo kwamen we rond 12u30 toe in Bierne (ofte "Bieren") waar er inderdaad zelfs opklaringen waren. De eerste grotere zonnige periode zou om 13u komen, ideaal voor de TERGV die op dat moment uit de havenstad vertrok richting Lille Europe. De eerste zonnige foto zat in het kastje maar onze honger was nog niet gestild en we hoopten vurig op wat cargo!

Tijdens het knabbelen van het broodje passeerde er rond 13u50 een losse loc... dat was al mooi maar dat kon toch nog net dat tikkeltje beter. En om klokslag 14u was het dan wel degelijk raak met deze staaltrein van Dunkerque naar Ébange.

Oh ja, wie goed kijkt ziet zelfs een toevallige passant die net een onbewaakt overwegje overgestoken was en vol belangstelling naar de trein keek... al was het in realiteit mijn broer die vanop het plekje aan de onbewaakte overweg deze foto had gemaakt ;-)

October 25, 2023, my brother and I had planned our annual autumn excursion for this year.

Bad weather forecast made that we only could pick our final destination in the morning, as it became clear that we would find some sunny spells at the coast in the surroundings of Dunkirk.

At 2 PM sharp this steel train passed our lenses just at the east of Bierne. And for now this little question: is there somebody who knows what the M means in the number of the first locomotive (427007M)? Thanks in advance!
