Catching the Spirit - a photo on Flickriver

            After seeing a Facebook report on April 1 that UP 1943 was going to lead the ZG4MQ 02, I nearly chalked it up to a hoax.  But thankfully no April Fool's as the info was verified and plenty of trackside observers were along the SPCSL in the wee hours Thursday morning reporting the progress of the Z's southward march.  Using ATCS, it became simple to find the train and pinpoint the arrival time to East St. Louis.  Using the local geography of various junctions, it became easy sport for a multiple shot chase.  

While UP 1943 South was slowly turning the corner at Valley Jct to access the Chester Sub, this view of downtown St. Louis and the Gateway Arch was possible - along with plenty of time to drive ahead to Dupo for the next view!
