            An elevated view of Wood End station from above the the tunnel mouth showing the extent of the new stairway access to the platforms. It is quite likely that demand for a footbridge is low given that passengers either head north to Birmingham or south to Stratford. Accommodation is restricted to just a shelter on each platform, quote basic in nature as can be seen on platform 2. On 12th November 2016 London Midland Class 172 DMU No. 172334 is just departing from Wood End with 2S36 1157 Stourbridge Junction - Stratford upon Avon.
