'Concerto' High Note - a photo on Flickriver

            The appearance of a Loadhaul 'Tug' was one of the high notes of Hertfordshire Railtours 'Walsall Concerto' on 4th January 2003. Here, No. 60008 'Gypsum Queen II' is seen lifting the charter from Walsall station towards Ryecroft Junction with 1Z27 Finsbury Park - Nuneaton, the outward leg, which operated via Swindon and Gloucester. This multi-traction tour returned to Finsbury Park via Hinckley and the Midland Main Line, and on the outward leg featured a Class 56 to Gloucester and a pair of Class 37s to Bescot, where No. 60008 took over.
