The third dessert could easily have been the third and fourth dessert since my thoughts were that it created by gelling 2 desserts into one.

Mate and myself were discussing if this was a Thai-inspired dessert: fresh mango, glutinous rice and coconut ice cream can be hallmarks of a Thai dessert. Yet, the singular thing that astounded us both was the longan granita - so unexpected flavourful and so shockingly pleasant - appeared seemed quite detached from the rest. When asked, the folks at the place seemed more determined to explain how they found the right glutinous rice to go with the dessert rather if the dessert has a Thai "root". 

As flavours went, it was plenty decent as nothing was too jarrring but my table could not quite finish the bowl as it did get heavy with the glutinous rice. The more than generous combinations of ingredients also conflated the confusion as to what dessert we were actually enjoying. This dessert needed further refinement - maybe less is more.
