Encara no hem viscut tants anys com ells

En aquesta escena un neanderthal mira un company ferit durant una cacera i és conscient que morirà. Els neanderthals van poblar Europa i l'Orient Pròxim fa entre 200.000 i 30.000 anys. Eren una espècie semblant a la nostra però no directament emparentada. Tenien una alçada propera als 170 cm i una complexió molt robusta. La seva capacitat craniana era d'uns 1.500 cm3, superior a la nostra, que és de 1.350 cm3, encara que això no vol que fossin més intel·ligents. La seva volta cranial era allargada i baixa, mentre que el nas i la boca es projectaven cap endavant. Sàpiens i neanderthals van arribar a conviure abans que aquests darrers s'estingissin.

En esta escena un neanderthal mira un compañero herido durante una cacería y es consciente de que va a morir. Los neanderthales poblaron Europa y Oriente Próximo hace entre 200.000 y 30.000 años. Eran una especie parecida a la nuestra pero no directamente emparentada. Tenían una altura cercana a los 170 cm y una complexión muy robusta. Su capacidad craneana era de unos 1.500 cm3, superior a la nuestra, que es de 1.350 cm3, aunque ello no quiere que fueran más inteligentes. Su bóveda craneal era alargada y baja, mientras que la nariz y la boca se proyectaban hacia delante. Sapiens y neanderthales llegaron a convivir antes de que estos últimos se extinguiesen.
