Aquesta escultura data de 1929 quan la Junta de l'Exposició Internacional va encarregar a Joan Borrell i Nicolau la creació de dues figures femenines, però finalment aquesta Venus va romandre als magatzems municipals fins l'any 1970, quan va ser instal·lada en unes escalinates a l'entrada dels Jardins de Joan Maragall.
L'escultura és obra de Joan Borrell i Nicolau.

Esta escultura data de 1929 cuando la Junta de la Exposición Internacional encargó a Joan Borrell i Nicolau la creación de dos figuras femeninas, pero finalmente esta Venus permaneció en los almacenes municipales hasta 1970, cuando fue instalada en unas escalinatas a la entrada de los Jardines de Joan Maragall.
La escultura es obra de Joan Borrell i Nicolau.
