Chinese construction works off Colombo Fort

            This photo was taken from the Colombo Lighthouse.
Port City project was proposed during the Rajapaksa administration. It is to reclaim the sea in front of Colombo Fort to expand the existing port facilities and to develop a Chinese concession attached to the port.

Such infrastructure may be necessary for Sri Lanka. But it should be built not to spoil the historical cityscape of Colombo. It is also questionable to allow the construction of a foreign concession at a location so close to the government headquarters.
