Uminokuchi community in Oomachi - a photo on Flickriver

            Uminokuchi community is located several km south of Nakatsuna-ko. The snow fields in front become rice paddy in April.

Uminokuchi (海ノ口) means "mouth of lake" as it is where the Nougu-gawa river that flows out of Nakatsuna-ko flows into Lake Kizaki-ko. 
Snowfall gets less and less as you move southward to the Oomachi city proper.
