4/12B Jasper - hitting the trails - a photo on Flickriver

            While we were busy taking care of Misty the last few years and then mourning her death, Jasper has stood quietly by us through it all. Everything evolved around her needs and although we tried our best, we undoubtedly lacked in our attention given to him. We decided we are going to try to make up for some of the lost time and this month we started going on more hikes and explorations with him, now that the weather is nicer. This was from our first outing earlier in the month. We dusted up his hiking backpack which we haven't used in over 5 years and picked an easy 3 mile trail to hit. Jasper did great, but we couldn't help but notice how much slower and frail he has become. That's ok--we'll just go at his pace and it's our goal to just enjoy being out there together.
