2012-02-19 Acros 100 6x9 i6

            Taken with a Franka Rolfix 6x9 Camera made by Franka Werke 6x9 and "Made in Germany - US Zone".  The lens itself was made in either late 1948 or early 1949, and is a Schneider-Kreuznach Radionar 105mm f/4.5 lens in a Prontor II Shutter.  Apparently the camera originally came with a mask that would have allowed it to be used as a 6x4.5 camera, however, the mask is missing from the camera I just bought (for all of $9.95 from a local camera store).

I've not shot with a camera where you have to estimate ranges since the late 80's.  As you can tell from these shots, I'm out of practice.  Of course I also realized after shooting this roll just how narrow of a depth of field you have with a 105mm lens at f/4.5 on a 6x9 camera when your subject is all of about 6 feet away!  It's about 7 inches.

It will be interesting to see some properly focused photographs.  I was planning to go out today with a tripod, and a second camera to use as a rangefinder to aid in focusing, unfortunately the weather has been atrocious.
