Olympic bridge - a photo on Flickriver

Clear evening.

Far ahead you see skyline of an area that lies north of river Han and is called Gwangjin. Go west from there and you reach Itaewon and eventually Hongdae; east of Gwangjin Seoul ends. Olympic bridge links Gwangjin to Songpa (Jamsil more specifically) across Han. Songpa lies south of the river, just east of Gangnam and west of Gangdong, the latter true to its name the easternmost part of Seoul Special City.

You’re standing at the southern end of Olympic bridge, looking at the fading sky north-west and listening to cars whoosh by.

From this angle Seoul looks just like any other metropolis on the planet.
