A Sea of Red

            Last night I ventured down to a popular spot in Cornwall where there are a few gorgeous Poppy fields. I had a lovely evening, first having dinner in the local pub and then I spent the evening talking to a photographer called Helen who I'd set up near to.

The sky was full of dark menacing clouds when I arrived and I wasn't holding out much hope for a decent sunset, but as the hours went on, the cloud began to clear and we got some gorgeous colour in the sky. 
It was definitely worth the trip out, and I spotted another field close by which has loads of different kinds of flowers in it and it looks wonderful.

Remember folks, if you're planning to shoot Poppies, try not to stand or crush them just to get a cute photo of your kids or dogs, not only do you destroy the Poppies, you ruin them for everyone else. I found a spot through a set of tractor tracks and settled where there was a bare patch, so no Poppies were harmed in the making of this photo.
