De Westerbork Synthese Radio Telescoop (kortweg WSRT ook bekend als Radiosterrenwacht Westerbork c.q. Zwiggelte), is een uit veertien losse parabolische antennes bestaande radiotelescoop in de bossen nabij Hooghalen en Westerbork in Drenthe. De WSRT is in 1970 in gebruik genomen en wordt nog steeds voor sterrenkundige waarnemingen gebruikt.

De 14 reusachtige radiotelescopen van de radiosterrenwacht die samen één enorme telescoop vormen. Radiogolven worden in deze enorme parabolische schotels opgevangen en in het brandpunt omgezet in elektrische signalen.

The Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (in short WSRT also known as Radio Observatory Westerbork or Zwiggelte), is a radio telescope consisting of fourteen separate parabolic antennas in the forests near Hooghalen and Westerbork in Drenthe. The WSRT was commissioned in 1970 and is still used for astronomical observations.

The 14 gigantic radio telescopes of the radio observatory that together form one enormous telescope. Radio waves are received in these enormous parabolic dishes and converted into electrical signals at the focal point.
