            Musée Picasso, Paris coffee cup & saucer depicting Picasso's 1961 Footballeurs.

Pablo Picasso made several lithographs with football being the subject. His first drawing dates from March 5, 1961. Three shapes - figures more or less human forms, with three points symbolising the eyes and the mouth, compete for an aerial balloon that looks like a fried egg. Three large green spots represent the lawn.
