Now tonight I will be having a headache

            This photo has a nice story. I was once again poking around in my mobile shed in Eemnes, when I saw a godwit standing a little further away, but also something with its butt up. 

When I got closer it turned out to be another godwit, with its beak in the ground, and it looked like it was stuck and couldn't get away. When I got closer, he was still standing with his butt up. I also heard a somewhat strange sound, of some kind of idling engine, with short knocks, and that was apparently made by one of the two.

While the other godwit slowly walked away, the 'butt animal' remained stuck and I looked to see if I could jump over the ditch somewhere without getting wet, to free the poor animal from its awkward pose. I hadn't even thought about it yet when mister buttocks broke free and what happened next leaves little to guess (see photo).
