Parque natural Aizkorri-Aratz - a photo on Flickriver

            El parque natural de Aizkorri-Aratz, situado entre las provincias de Álava y Gipuzkoa, destaca por sus sierras calizas e interminables hayedos. Cuenta con la cima más alta de Euskadi, el Aitxuri (1.551 m) y dice la leyenda que entre sus cumbres puede aún encontrarse a la diosa mitológica Mari.
 La entrada principal del parque está situada junto al espectacular Santuario de Arantzazu, colgado en un pronunciado barranco, es visita obligada por su interés arquitectónico y artístico. El parque de Aizkorri Aratz alberga tesoros como el Túnel de San Adrián,,,,,,,,,,    The natural park of Aizkorri-Aratz, located between the provinces of Álava and Gipuzkoa, stands out for its limestone mountains and endless beech forests. It has the highest peak in the Basque Country, the Aitxuri (1,551 m) and legend has it that among its peaks you can still find the mythological goddess Mari.
  The main entrance of the park is located next to the spectacular Sanctuary of Arantzazu, hanging in a steep ravine, it is a must for its architectural and artistic interest. Aizkorri Aratz Park is home to treasures such as the San Adrián Tunnel.
