Southern Appalachian Blue Ridge Parkway Stormy Autumn Scene NC

            Tempestuous clouds give way for the autumn colors to show through in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

The Cowee Mountains Overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway seen in this image is a great spot to view the colors as they first appear in the higher elevations of the Southern Appalachians.
