On 19 January 1912 the foundation stone ceremony was performed by Mr G J Ley. Attendance was large and a fair amount placed on the stone. Mr Ley was presented with a silver trowel. Tea was served by the ladies.

The soldiers’ memorial porch and cinema room were added to the Hall in 1928. In the presence of a large attendance the hall opened in November and a memorial tablet was unveiled by Mrs Jane Collins whose three sons saw service and one of whom fell.
The building work was done by Mr T Farrell of Farrell’s Flat.
