Springfield Cemetery near Marrabel headstone of Caroline Rehder. South Australia

            Springfield Cemetery in the Hundred of Gilbert, is about 2km north of Marrabel where in 1856 a Bible Christian Church was built – it was demolished c1910.
The settlement of Springfield was established c1850 when a hotel the “Australian Arms” was built and licensed to James Wisdom – the hotel site was opposite the cemetery.
