            1862 Stone Railway Goods Shed
Freeling was on the line that extended railway services from Gawler to Kapunda. The line was completed in 1860 and the railway station, built by Berryman and Hales, completed in 1862. 
The railway carried chaff and bone meal produced in the district. Railway business declined with the opening of the Burra line and later the Angaston line, although commuter traffic was busy during the 1930s and early 1940s. In 1949 the stationmaster’s residence, railway platform and water tank were demolished as the residence had been vacant for some time. 

The goods shed is constructed in random bluestone and red brick.
