A Burst of Red

            The other day when I needed my spirits to be lifted I posted a photo which I titled 'A Splash of Colour'. I thought I needed some more colour in my life (and lillies are one of my favourite flowers) so today I have 'A Burst of Red'.

I have recently been getting some advice from an amazing member of the Flickr community (Fred). I have been attempting to put some of the knowledge and experience he shared with me into practice. I feel that I am still on a very big learning curve, but I am quite pleased with how this photo has worked out (particularly how it catches the light). I have done very little processing on this shot (apart from applying a black background).
