            I'd actually gone up to Ramsley Moor to use a pheromone lure to draw in Emperor Moths that might be around at this late stage of the season. The lure worked very well, pulling in up to seven moths simultaneously, but a windy day, a midday start and rather frenzied male moths made it rather more difficult to get the quality of images I was after.

I'd seen a Stonechat pair close to the access to the moorland path and couldn't resist photographing this little beauty in his breeding plumage when he popped up on a fence post near the path whilst I was searching for a secluded, less windswept spot in mid afternoon - despite the shorter lens combo I was carrying. There was also a male Redstart nearby, but he was not close enough for a worthwhile shot.
