Diamond Fuji - a photo on Flickriver

Diamond Fuji

            My two and a half year chase to capture a photo of Diamond Fuji ended today! As I was watching Diamond Fuji right in front of my eyes, I felt a bit, underwhelmed. You see, during this chase, I've upgraded my gear, gone to many beautiful places, took some amazing photos (at least I think so) and I still continue today to improve this wonderful craft.

When I first tried to photograph Diamond Fuji, I was still using a compact digital camera, and it never left auto mode. I had no idea about things like shutter speed or aperture. Anyway, my first try was ruined by a cloudy horizon. But I kept trying, going to new locations, getting new gear, meeting new people...
Before I even got a picture of Diamond Fuji, I had already become a professional photographer! 

I know now, more than ever before, it's truly about the journey, and not the destination. Although getting there is nice too.
