            Song of Encouragement for the Orme Ascent.   

Broke the journey to Abersoch for a nostalgic visit to the Great Orme, timed nicely to drop back down into Conwy for 47593 passing the castle on 1Z47 with the LSL Mark 3 set and DVT.

Almost a perfect recreation of those late '80s/early '90s drags. 

1Z47, 14.10 Holyhead to Euston.

I first visited Conwy in May 1980 when we travelled from Manchester Victoria to Penmaenmawr and walked through the Sychnant Pass to Conwy to be hauled home by 40163 on the 18.17 from Llandudno to Manchester Victoria.
