            Commentary.

The ferry chugs away, across to Iona from Fionnphort
on the Ross of Mull.
Boats harbour in the channel,
the beach has emptied
and the crab-pot waits for another day.
The Abbey (just left of the hill) takes the story
of Christianity back over 1,450 years to St. Columba.
The Abbey and the island have a
starkly ethereal, spiritual dimension
apart from being a truly
beautiful, unspoiled environment.
