Ardnamurchan,
Acharacle
or Glen Shiel
I will go.
Whichever route,
sporadic glimpses of enchanting islands
and pyramidal peaks plunging seawards,
adds a dimension of mystique and wonder,
that never fails to inspire.
The route from Acharacle to Lochailort
offers the exquisite combination
of mountain meeting the sea. 
Through the North Channel of Loch Moidart 
the Sgùrr of Eigg, twenty miles offshore,
rears up like a giant volcanic bottle-opener.
Moidart has a magic missed by many.
Like a host of remote places on this mercurial
western seaboard…….
the treasure lies at the end of the rainbow!
